We offer fully flexible before & after school care for all students of St David’s BNS, Dublin 5. You only pay for the hours that you need. Our before school care includes breakfast club and our after school has a homework club. More information on our opening times see below.
Amy & Sarah
Amy & Sarah are sisters in law whose youngest children have entered the school system, between them they have 7 children. While planning to return to work they kept hitting the same obstacle – having their children cared for before and after school was costly and non-flexible. While looking into careers that would work around their family’s needs they discovered Sherpa Kids Ireland.
Amy worked within the Internet Industry as a Product Manager for over 10 years, as her family grew she wanted to find a career that would allow her work around her family but also use the skills she has developed over the years.
Sarah has been a stay at home parent for 11 years, previously working in customer service. Having lived in Australia with her family Sarah was exposed to quality Out of Hours Childcare services such as Sherpa Kids.
Together they decided to bring Sherpa Kids to their local community to offer other local families an affordable, flexible and quality childcare programme.
Before School Care: 7.30am to 9:00am – Monday to Friday
We provide a comfortable environment for children to spend time with us before starting their day. We offer a variety of healthy breakfast to children to set them up for a day of learning including Porridge, Eggs & Toast, Natural Yogurt with Fruit and more. The rest of the morning is spent playing games, reading and working on projects we are working on that week in the afternoons.
After School Care: 1.40pm to 6.00pm – Monday to Friday
Each week we run a different theme at our service engaging in different activities each day such as Arts & Crafts, Music & Drama, Cooking, Science, Sports & Games. We dedicate a portion of our day to allow for homework to be completed and kids enjoy snack time catching up on each others day.
Holiday Care : 9:00am – 2:00pm on school holidays/closure days
For midterm and closure days we will run camps that cover a typical school day, on these days our usual before and after school services will also run. Each camp will be priced individually based on the number of days it will run, contact us for more information.
