Róisín O’Brien, owner of Sherpa Kids South Dublin (Dublin 6, 6W, 14, 16) is a busy working mother of 3 young children, from Templeogue, Dublin. Róisín understands only too well the daily juggling, organising and running around most parents face every day of the week – whether you work outside the home or inside the home.
Róisín has a Sales & Marketing background and moved into the not for profit sector almost 10 years ago working in charity organisations supporting children and families. Róisín has a passion for getting involved in creating and developing solutions to help make family life as stress free as possible. Ensuring children are priority. And now, Róisín has brought Sherpa Kids to South Dublin (Dublin 6, 6W, 14, 16) to do exactly that. Giving parents the opportunity to avail of a quality, affordable, flexible childcare service which is convenient for them and their children, working around their needs.
After School Programme: 1.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
Each week we develop a new Programme of Activities. Every day we have a planned activity which keeps your children engaged, stimulated and having fun with their school friends. We have a weekly theme which all activities are based on. Activities include Art & Crafts, Music & Drama, Sports & Games, Cooking and Technology. All activities are developed with the age of children attending in mind ensuring our programme is age appropriate and engaging for all. Our afternoon routine includes class collection, afternoon tea, homework, activity and free play.
Holiday Programme:
During school closures such as mid-term breaks and Summer Holidays, we provide multi activity camps providing consistent, reliable care. Our camps run 9am to 2.30pm with before camp and after camp care available.
All of our Programmes are tailored to fit with school schedules and family childcare requirements. Our service is a wraparound service supporting schools and families.

“Sherpa Kids provide an excellent after school service in our school. Their approach to the service is marked by positivity, flexibility and top class organisation. Their communication with the school and parents is exemplary. Feedback from parents, children and school staff is unanimously positive. When children say positive things about you, you know you must be doing something right! The programme of homework, games and other activities means that the children are constantly stimulated. The food break provides excellent nutrition for the children and gives them an opportunity to have a chat with each other. As Principal, I have to say that the service Sherpa Kids provide is a template of excellence for other after school service providers and I have no hesitation in recommending Róisín and her team.”
