Introducing: Holiday HQ Destination Imagination

This February Mid Term, Holiday HQ becomes the ultimate Destination Imagination!

Children will dive into sports-led sessions with tag games, teamwork and exciting challenges. They’ll explore ocean life through creative activities, spark their inner scientist in our Inventor’s Lab and test their agent skills with Ninja-style missions and tasty activities. In our Make & Take session, they’ll even build a mini electric motor to create their own Scribble Bot. We finish the week with our much-loved Secret Agent Glow Party — a highlight every year!

We know schools have different Mid Term calendars, whether two, three, four or five days. Holiday HQ is here to support your family and give your child a week to remember.

Holiday HQ offers children an unforgettable break from school with a dynamic blend of activities and enriching experiences. Our holiday programmes feature a new theme each season, with daily activities ranging from arts and crafts to sports and STEM, no two days are the same. We ensure every child’s holiday is not just entertaining but an opportunity for growth, helping them build friendships, explore interests, and return to school with lasting memories. Holiday HQ Destination Imagination Schedule

Please note that our February Mid Term programme follows school calendars, so opening and closing days may vary. Check your school’s dates or visit our website before booking.

Monday, 16th of February
Children kick off the week with fast-paced sports fun, joining teamwork games and energetic challenges, including Catch or Squat, where quick reactions and coordination make all the difference. They’ll stay active, build confidence and enjoy sporty treats like decorating their own Basketball Pops.

Tuesday, 17th of February
Step into a world of creativity with the Galactic Tag Tournament, inventing planet powers and playing with rules they design themselves. They’ll also create glowing souvenirs by painting their own glow-in-the-dark keychains to take home, bringing imagination to life.

Wednesday, 18th of February
Young explorers dive under the sea through hands-on STEM fun, including Save Fred!, a problem-solving challenge where they rescue a gummy worm using only paper clips. They’ll also make delicious Shark Bites snacks with popcorn, jellies, marshmallows and blue chocolate.

Thursday, 19th of February
Budding scientists enter the Inventor’s Lab to create personalised fridge magnets, designing drawings and turning them into keepsakes. They’ll then build their own Scribble Bot, using a mini electric motor and markers to engineer a wiggling robot that draws colourful patterns.

Friday, 20th of February
Children activate their undercover skills with Ninja Training, following hand-and-foot patterns at speed to test balance, precision and focus. The day ends with our much-loved Secret Agent Glow Party, where they complete missions, decode clues, navigate a neon laser maze and enjoy treats at the Spy HQ snack table.

Affordable School Holidays

We proudly support the National Childcare Scheme (NCS), helping make high-quality childcare more affordable for every family through our Before School, After School, and Holiday Programmes — including Mid-Term, Easter, and Summer. From September 2024, each child will receive a minimum deduction of €2.14 per hour from their childcare bill.

What to (or not) Pack:

During holiday periods, we ensure your child is welcomed into a safe and inviting environment, supported by trained and caring staff who are ready to make their holiday experience the best it can be. To help us provide the smoothest day possible, we ask families to pack a few essentials:

A packed lunch similar to school (small break at 10 AM, big break at 12 PM)
A labelled water bottle—staying hydrated is important for all the fun ahead
No nut-based products, please, for the safety of all children
Comfortable clothes that can get messy during creative play
All personal belongings clearly labelled
Please keep toys from home at home—we’ll have plenty to keep children entertained!

Yes, all our services are Tusla-registered, making them eligible for NCS subsidies of up to €3.75 per hour for children aged 4-15. The exact subsidy depends on your NCS application.
